Possible Side Effects: Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you: Develop rash; hives; blisters; itching; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble Breathing, swallowing, or talking; Or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. Common side effects: Temporary itching, burning or mild irritation of the ear. Other medicines and Chloramphenicol/Benzocaine Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Chloramphenicol/Benzocaine and other ear drops may interfere with each other. Consult with your doctor if you use other ear drops. How to take Chloramphenicol/Benzocaine: This medicine is intended for adults, adolescents, and children aged 3 years and older. This product is for external use only. Use as indicated by your doctor. The usual dosing is 4 drops into affected ear 4 times daily. How to store Chloramphenicol/Benzocaine: Unopened bottles should be stored in a refrigerator 35°F to 46°F (2 to 8°C). Do not freeze. Once opened, it should be stored at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C). This medicine should be protected from light. Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Once the pack has been opened, the contents should be used within 1 month. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
